Our Academy
Since 2008, Archbishop Sentamu Academy has been at the heart of secondary education in East Hull. Our academy is sponsored by the Church of England Diocese of York.
Our Curriculum
Our curriculum consists of a range of subjects including new business and enterprise options along with Health Science, Astronomy, Mandarin Chinese, Horticulture and more.
Student Enrichment
Our academy provides a range of extra curricular and enrichment courses for our students, helping them to develop and progress in a variety of fun ways.
Welcome
Archbishop Sentamu Academy was opened in 2008 as a new learning community set in the heart of East Hull. It sponsored by the Church of England Diocese of York and dedicated to providing a 21st century learning environment that expands choices and opportunities for its students. In 2011 the Academy will move to a new site on Preston Road set at the centre of the cultural and civic amenities found there.
We are an inclusive Academy with a strong Christian ethos, and we welcome students from all backgrounds, regardless of ability. We hope you will find all the information you need on these pages. We will be updating the site at key points in the development of the Academy and as the building work progresses.
